In a world seemingly defined by divisions in which people are immersed in technologies that keep us siloed and isolated, to declare “You Are Not Alone” is a subversive act. The phrase vibrates with hope. It offers comfort and connection, interrupts loneliness and isolation, disrupts patterns of silence and shame, demonstrates vulnerability and invites mutuality. It is a statement of deep empathy. This piece emerged from the isolation of pandemic lockdown as a celebration of relationships, resilience, and shared humanity. In the coda, an anthem rises led by a child’s voice singing, “You are not alone. You are not alone…You are not alone.”
