Debuted as part of our wedding ceremony in 2015, Overture is a meditation on the vows shared between me and my partner Kate. I conceived of the piece as an overture to our shared life’s journey – introducing themes that would accompany us through the unknown. Seven years, six moves, five jobs, four cars, three rounds of Moderna jabs, two kids, and one career change later, I can attest that our family’s path has indeed been full of many unexpected adventures. True to one of our vows: “Our love will be moving, grooving, epic, messy, and hilarious.”
